The Euro Group is going to hold another meeting today. The main issue on the agenda is the Greek debt. The European minfins are expected to resume the discussion over the possibility of providing Greece with another trance, which has been postponed for a couple of months.
In late November, they make the following decision: To make another tranche provided that Greece has successfully buys back a certain share of its bonds. The trance is currently estimated at €43,7bn: €10,6bn to finance the Greek budget and €23,8bn to recapitalize Greek banks.
At the same time, Greece received a lot of requests from bondholders who want to sell their holdings even at a discount. The total amount is currently estimated at €31,9bn.
