As we know, Germany is the most generous donor in terms of financial aid to Greece. That is why on Friday, when private investors suddenly stopped the talks with Athens on writing down a part of the Greek debt, Germany became worried more than others as the probability of a Greek default increased.
According to Evangelos Venizelos, Greek Minister of Finance, the talks will be resumed on Wednesday. In an interview to The Financial Times he expressed his confidence that the parties will finally reach a compromise.
