The UK won’t see any referendum on the country’s EU membership. 483 parliamentarians voted against it. Only 111 parliamentarians supported the idea. Despite the fact that the eurozone crisis has had a serious impact on the British economy, Great Britain wants to stay among the influential EU powers.
David Cameron, UK Prime Minister, assumes that now it would be wiser to help the EU come out of the crisis instead of leaving it. Strange as it may seem, but most of those minority parliamentarians who supported the referendum are Mr. Cameron’s fellow party members. This seems to have split the coalition, which is a major political event in the UK.
