Yesterday the currency pair rebounded from the intermediate option barrier 1.6074. The volatility of GBPUSD set another record thanks to the abundant news flow. The data on the US labor market and construction sector came out positive.
Today’s news background is going to be almost neutral. Only the ECB president Jean-Claude Trichet’s speech can be of any interest. Also investors are still concerned about the unsolved Greek debt problem.
On breaking through the current option barriers, the option clusters at 1.5911 and 1.6232 will become the next significant barriers. At the moment GBPUSD is moving within the 1.6232 - 1.6074 range.
