Several web sources report that the users of many Yahoo! services wont be able to sign in using their Facebook or Google accounts anymore. The thing is that Yahoo! is about to introduce its own ID system called Yahoo ID.
Well, it seems like Yahoo! dislikes the existing ID system and is going to improve it by introducing its own ID system. The first Yahoo! services to be disconnected from Facebook and Google are said to be Yahoo Sports Tourney Pick’Em, which is dedicated to the NCAA (college basketball). The terms are not specified yet. Still, one of the representatives of the US internet giant told the media that all of the Yahoo! services will change their ID systems without exception over time.
At the same time, the company's top management seems to be planning to expand the list of its services. In particular, Yahoo! is said to be planning ot create its own e-mail services, which is likely to be called Yahoo! Mail. At the same time, Yahoo! seems to be planning to make their financial and sports services more interactive, convenient and mobile.
Therefore, it seems like the new ID system will ensure more individual approach to Yahoo! users. Well, at the same time, the market doesn't seem to be upset with the company's decision to change its ID system, thereby unplugging Facebook and Google accounts from the Yahoo! The company's stock recovered a bit from the recent decline. The chart below, courtesy of Masterforex-V Academy, reflects the current state of affairs in the market of YHOO:
