Not so long ago, United States Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin promised to announce a new round of the sanctions against Russia within the next 30 days. The question is whether the United States will manage to root against Putin once again before March 18th?
During his recent speech in the University of California in Los Angeles, the Secretary claimed that the world could count on a new round of such sanctions within the following 30 days.

Last week, during the briefing in the White House, he revealed some details about the planned sanctions against North Korea. Anticipating some questions about Russia, he also told the reporters that the White House had been working on new anti-Russia sanctions. According to him, preparing such sanctions is a complex and difficult task and requires cooperation with the FBI investigating Russia’s alleged interference into the U.S. Presidential Elections 2016.
According to several anonymous sources in the White House interviewed by Reuters, those sanctions need time to be imposed because of the complicated legal procedure. On top of that, they want the proofs of the Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections to be irrefutable.
In mid-February, the U.S. Department of Justice published the list of the Russian companies and individuals allegedly involved in the interference. The list includes 13 individuals and 3 companies. Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov called this list a fake.
