The other day, the White House confirmed that the sanctions against Russia will remain intact until Russia gives the Crimea back to Ukraine, not to mention deescalating the conflict in Donbass, Ukraine.
The NATO press service also confirms that that the United States Secretary of State is also determined to keep Russia under sanctions and urging the Russian Federation to comply with the mentioned requirements fi they want the sanctions to be canceled. This means that Washington is definitely not going to cancel those sanctions against Russia until the mentioned requirements are met.

Rex Tillerson urges Putin to use his power to influence the Donbass separatists and end the armed conflict that has been going on for several years in the East of Ukraine. Also, he urges Moscow to make the Crimean peninsula Ukrainian again. The United States Secretary of State assumes that the situation in the East of Ukraine has been escalated so far and needs urgent de-escalation for the sake of avoiding a full-fledged humanitarian disaster in the region.
At the same time, the Secretary also praises Ukraine’s achievements in politics, economy and social life even under the increasing pressure coming from Russia. He encourages Ukraine to keep on working on the recently implemented reforms to resist corruption and make the economy stronger.
The Secretary says that the NATO keeps on supporting Ukraine both politically and financially to resist the aggression coming from the East. To be more specific, 6 trust funds gave Kiev over 45 million euros to train around 2000 Ukrainian military men and help the wounded participants of the Donbass conflict to rehabilitate faster.
