Francois Fillon, who is one of the candidates for the post of the President of France, has accused President Hollande of establishing a shadow government in France. Also, he urges the police to start investigating into the matter.
Francois Fillon made this statement during his interview on France 2. He said that the local newspapers had got some documents just a couple of days after the were confiscated by the police. According to the politician, the journalists would have never done this but for the support coming from some secret forces led by a shadow government.
The politician also mentioned that his team is getting ready to reveal the results of a journalist investigation indicating that Francois Hollande arranged a service to tap the phone calls made by some high-ranking politicians in France. This is an illegal action even for the President of France.
That's what the candidate wants the police to restore justice by investigating into the matter and figuring out whether this is true since if this is true, this is going to be a big political scandal in France cine never before in the history of France has the President gone that far in their illegal actions.
As for President Hollande, he called those accusations ungrounded. The official response from Hollande’s administration reads that the President has never interfered with the police’s work. As for the current investigation against Francois Fillon, President Hollande says he found out about it from the news.
For those of you who don’t know, the police are suspecting Francois Fillon of fraud. To be more specific, Mr. Fillon and his wife are accused of counterfeiting some documents related to some financial loans. Local newspapers also accuse him of getting bribes for helping French businessmen meet with Vladimir Putin. Apparently, he calls those accusations a nonsense and still wants investigation against Hollande. The pre-election campaign is getting hotter, especially as Marine Le Pen, another candidate, visited Russia and met with Vladimir Putin the other day.
