Shortly after Apple released iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, there emerged internet rumors about the next generation of mobile devices by Apple, Market Leader reports. In particular, it is rumored that Samsung is not going to manufacture processors for Apple devices anymore. Instead, this job is likely to be outsourced to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC).
TSMC is rumored to get down to manufacturing A10 chips fro the new devices (probably iPhone 7) in March 2016. It is interesting to note that Samsung used to be shipping processors to Apple despite the fact that these tow companies have been rivals for many years. At this point, TSMC is going to be the only manufacturer of Apple processors.
TSMC is reported to be going to introduce InFO and FinFET to its manufacturing process. These technologies are already used in Apple A9 for iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. Still, TSMC has made no official comment on the matter so far. There is nothing to be surprised about since the Taiwanese manufacturer has never discussed such issues in public.
It is interesting to note that TSMC earned some $2,55bn in April-July 2015. This is a 0,5% increase relative to the preceding quarter. As for the year-over-year figures, the figures boosted by 33% over the reporting period.
Meanwhile, Apple has just introduced iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, which has Retina HD displays with much more durable glass and aluminum of series 7000m used in aerospace industry.
As for Apple’s stock, AAPL entered the red zone after losing 2,4%. The price is currently around $113,92 per share.
