After the G7 summit was over, experts from around the globe started scrupulously analyzing its results. Political scientists, analysts, journalists, economists and plain folks are seeking every single bit of information about the G7 summit to try and figure out the bigger picture of what is actually going on.
These days, any major political event is closely monitored by millions of people worldwide and is considered within the scope of the current situation in Easter Ukraine. It is not accidental that the civil war in Ukraine was on the agenda of the mentioned G7 summit among some of the major issues.
The high-ranking politicians participating in the summit made one more attempt to find the way to stop the massacre in Ukraine.
In particular several, Masterforex-V Academy reports that despite all the statements made by Vladimir Putin and his subordinates, the West has eventually toughened its stance regarding Russia and its policies. In particular, the G7 participants hinted that they may well revise the sanctions against Russia by toughening them.
At the same time Barack Obama said that now it is time for Vladimir Putin to decide whether he wants to damage the Russian economy and isolate Russian from the rest f the civilized world for the sake of his imperialistic ambitions.
At the same time, some Western politicians including president Obama assume that President Putin still has some time to partially save his reputation by realizing that he can recreate the lost power of Russia without assaulting its neighbors. If this is the case, this may well give him a chance to get back into the G8 format which is G7 + Russia. However, the Canadian prime minister doesn’t share this standpoint by saying that Russian will never go back to G8 while Putin is the president.
At this point, it is still unclear how Western countries are going to behave when it comes to relations with Russia. Are the going to toughen the sanctions? It remains to be seen. There is no clear stance regarding any further scenarios in Ukraine as well as the Crimea.
