According to several online sources, Amazon has just announced a new function allowing the user to download commercial mobile apps for free, Market Leader reports.
The Hi-Tech Department of Masterforex-V Academy reports that Amazon Appstore has been trying to outpace Google Play and oust it from the leading position in the industry ever since it was launched in 2011. It seems like all the previous efforts have been vain so far. That is why Amazon decided to apply the proven method of boosting the popularity of online stores, which has to do with letting the audience downloading apps at a big discount or for free.
In particular Amazon experts are reported to be currently working on a new function called ‘Unlocked». This one is said to be going to turn a lot of paid apps into freebies while making sure the user may also make in-app purchases for free as well. Most likely, these are going to be mostly games and office apps.
It is not a secret that Amazon is not a fan of giving away products and services, even thought there are some major discounts and sellouts as well as some other promos at times. Now it’s time to test the proven strategy on the company’s mobile app store.
At the same time, there is no information on when the function is going to be turned on. The same holds true for the list of potential freebies.
Meanwhile, Amazon is trying to expand its presence in China. In order to implement this ambitious goal, the company agreed to use Alibaba’s platform to open its own store in China despite the fact that Alibaba is Amazon’s major rival in Asia.
Still, we may assume that the step i worth it since many companies dream of getting into the huge Asian market, especially when it comes to China.
Yesterday, Amazon’s stock manager to stabilize at $374,09 after losing 0,27% of its value. This is confirmed by the chart below, courtesy of Masterforex-V Academy.
