More and more web sources join the growing army of those who spread rumors about Apple and its plans to introduce its own smart watch – iWatch. Apparently, these rumors heat up the interest in this long-awaited device.
According to Market Leader with reference to independent research, 17% of people under 20 are ready to purchase iWatch instantly after the device is available for sale and the price is affordable (under $350 per device). The similar survey held in October indicates 12%. This means that the long-awaited devices is getting more popular as we are approaching the release date (which is still unknown).
Still, some experts believe that the true reason for the increase interest in iWatch is the forthcoming announcement of this portable device. They say, Apple may well sell 5 to 10 million devices within the first 12 months of official sales.
At the same time, iPhone is getting more popular among the US youth - 61% today against 55% last year.
They also say that iPhone 6 is not going to get sapphire glass unlike iWatch. The new glass is believed to be more durable than Gorilla Glass.
Still, according to GforGames, Foxconn is said to have released at least 100 units for testing. They also say Synopsys and Bern Optics are currently modernizing the production line.
Meanwhile, Apple's stock is growing. The price gained 1,31% to hit $530,32 per share.
