Back in 2012, Samsung announced a new device with a built in projector. It is called Samsung Galaxy Beam. Now it appears that the South-Korean tech giant is ready to introduce another devices with a built in projector. Actually, this is rumored to be an updated version. It is probably going to be called Samsung Galaxy Beam 2.
The very concept found support among many users and was unprecedented for the international mobile industry. Now the first version of the unusual device appears to be not so attractive, especially of to take into account a relatively big body and average tech specifications along with the outdated version of Android OS that powers the smartphone.
So, the tech giant didn't abandon the idea and decided to update the series by adding another, better device to it.
Moreover, several web sources say that the new device is already on the list of the Chinese sertification agency called TENA. The serial number is said to be SM-G3858. They say the new model looks nicer and more modern. It has a 4,66-inch display (still the resolution is just 800 by 400 pixels).
Other hardware and software specifications on the list are not that bad. The device is powered by Android 4.2.2. It has a quad-core processor (1,2GHz), 1Gb of RAM and up to 32Gb of external memory. It supports multiple networks including GSM and TD-SCDMA for China Mobile. Taking into account the fact that the device has a projector, the body of the device is 11,7 mm thick. Still, Samsung Galaxy Beam 2 is said to have a metal body, which is a plus.
Still, Samsung's stock is currently having difficulty recovering from the recent drop. At this point, it is down by 0,71%. Still, experts assume that the release of new devices (including Samsung Galaxy Beam 2) will definitely improve the situation.
