Several web sources report that Motorola is working on a new collection of back panels for the smartphone called Motorola Motto X. The collection is called College Collection. Market Leader reports that the collection includes new colors along with the emblems of 40 major US higher education institutions, which can be stick to those panels.
Anyone can purchase Motto X with one of such panels for $399 (this is the standard price and may vary depending on the country/region). As for the USA, the price may be reduced down to just $49 per devices if you purchase a 2-year plan with a local cellular provider. At the same time, all students can count on a discount up to $60. In order to be eligible for the discount, a student needs to apply for it at motorola.com/college through a site based on the .edu domain.
Meanwhile, we should keep in mind that Lenovo purchased Motorola form Google a couple of months ago. So, the company may return to the Russian market according to Lenovo's plans. If this is the case, this may be a benefit for the company since the Russian market is rather big.
After Motorola announced price cuts for Motto X, the market went up in value by 0,11%. The news seems to have reassured the market. The chart below, courtesy of Masterforex-V Academy, reflects the current state of affairs in the market of Motorola’s stock:
