
Google is going to adapt is own mobile operating system called Android to portable gadgets. The internet company will introduce an SDK for those who want to develop apps for Android-powered portable gadgets like smart watches for example.
The news was announced by the head of the Android department during the expo called SXSW, which took place yesterday.
The SDK is likely to EAs the process o developing apps for such devices. By the way, the list of such devices is fairly wide and includes more than just smart watches. It is glasses, bracelets etc.
Google is definitely trying to dominate the market niche, which is definitely turn into a major industry within the next few years. The necessity of developing a separate SDK is explained by the fact that some portable gadgets have much more complicated hardware (including sensors) which is absent in modern smartphones and tablets.
The SDK is expected to come out on 2 weeks. The first gadgets to use Android are Sony Smartwatch, Samsung Galaxy Gear and Neptune Pine.
Meanwhile, Google's stock is trading around the all-time high. At this point it is up by 0,09% after a slight retracement and is trading around $1212 per share. This is confirmed by the chart below, courtesy of Masterforex-V Academy:
