One of the owners of the smartphone called iPhone 5S told us an interesting story about his gadget. In particular, Reddit (the nickname is Glarznak) claims that iPhone 5S tracks the user's location and motion even when it is off.
The thing is that Glarznak was on a trip somewhere and found out that his cable was damaged and there WA no chance of recharging the device. So he had to spend 4 days without using the device (while it was off). The smartphone was recharged only when he was back home. Still, he was surprised to find out that the fitness ap on his device told him the distance he made despite the fact that the device was off all the time. The guy was amazed and even scared of the super skills o his device.
The thing is that iPhone 5S is equipped with a new motion co-processor (called M7). It processes the data collected from the compass, the accelerator and the gyroscope to free up some processing power for the main processor (called A7). Therefore, the co-processor manages to collect data even when the device is off. Well, this is an ambiguous issue. On the on hand, this feature can be useful when trying to find a missing person. On the other hand, this feature may be abused to spy on people.
Meanwhile, Apple's stock has retraced from the recent rally and is trying to start recovering. At this point, the price is somewhere around $527-528 per share. The chart below, courtesy of Masterforex-V Academy, reflects the current state of affairs in the market of AAPL:
