12 months ago, Google made a lot of noise with its new gadget called Google Glass. The device became the focus of global attention even before coming into market. While some countries banned the sales of Google Glass, millions of users were looking forward to them.
Not so long ago, Google decided to come up with the 2.0 version of the long-awaited gadget.
Without any doubt, Google Glass 2.0 is going to attract a lot o attention as well.
In general, the hardware specifications of Google Glass are well known to the public. These are glasses with a inside screen and a built-in camera (capable of shooting photos and video footage). On top of that, the devices can recognize human voice.
The 2.0 version is currently expected to come into market in late 2014. Still, a thousand people (the developers and testers) are already using this device. It seems that the difference between the first and second versions of the gadget is inconsiderable. Just some minor software updates, a lens-change option and the support of various accessories. Maybe the developers will continue improving their gadget…
Hardware Specifications of Google Glass 2.0
Google Glass 2.0 has the following hardware specs: TI OMAP 4430 CPU (ARM Cortex-A9, 2 cores, 1,01 GHz), 16Gb of external memory, 1Gb of RAM and a 5-megapixel camera. The device is powered by Android 4.0.4 with Glass Software.
The estimated price of the new version is around $1500 in the USA. Google Glass 2.0 will come in different colors, including black, grey, white, red and blue. The sales are expected to boost Google's market capitalization.
Meanwhile, Google's stock is still gaining value on positive performance and consistent results. The chart below, courtesy of Masterforex-V Academy, reflects the current state of affairs in the market of GOOG:
