PocketBook has recently introduced the world's first waterproof reader. The device is called PocketBook 640. This gadget will show within the scope of the expo called Salon Du Livre, which is to take place in Paris in the near future.
One of the most outstanding features of the reader is the fact that it is capable of survive water submersion up to 1 meter deep. The device is also dustproof. It can be taken to the beach for example.
The devices has a 6-inch display (touchscreen) E Ink Pearl дисплей PocketBook )the resolution is 800 х 600 pixels), which is based on the technology called Film Touch. The top of the screen is covered by thin tape, which makes the device lighter than other e-readers and optimizes the text on the screen. By the way, the image is quite good even in direct sunlight.
PocketBook 640 has pretty decent hardware specifications. In particular, it is equipped with a 1GHz CPU and 256Mb of RAM. The external memory is 4Gb. The reader can also be connected to the Internet by means of Wi-Fi while Dropbox allows to share the content without being plugged to computers.
