ZTE was one of the most prominent participants of the recent major event in the mobile industry called MWC 2014. It took place in Barcelona a couple of days ago. ZTE introduced a couple of fresh devices. The list includes Grand Memo II LTE, a tablet powered by Android OS, and a coulee of new smartphones - Open C and Open II – powered by Firefox OS.
As we have just said, Both Open C and Open II are powered by the latest version of the new mobile operating system called Firefox OS. They will come into market in the second part of the year. At this point, their technical specifications leave much to be desired.
ZTE Open C has a 4-inch display (800 by 480 pixels), a dual-core processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 200, 1,2 GHz), 512Mb of RAM and 4Gb of external memory. It also has a 3-megapixel camera and a captious battery.
ZTE, Open II has almost the same hardware specifications, only the display is 3,5 inches with the 480 by 320 resolution. Even though the devices will come into market soon, their price is still unknown. Most probably, they will be fairly cheap.
Meanwhile, ZTE's stock started gaining value almost instantly after the presentation. The chart below, courtesy of Masterforex-V Academy, reflects the current state of affairs in the market of ZTE:
