According to several web sources, Google, the world-famous tech giant, is currently working on a new superfast network. The experts working on the project are reported to be ready to test the network to amaze the audience with its speed.
The thing is that Google set a goal to come up with a simple but efficient technology of transmitting data at a speed over 10Gb/sec. While some experts predict that such networks will emerge in 10 years, Google isn't determined to wait for so long and promises to start put the technology into widespread use within the next 3 years.
Widespread testing may start in the USA in 2017-2018. The project (called Google Fiber) started in 2012. At that point, the corporation started testing a network with a theoretical speed of 1Gb/sec. Even today this speed is the fastest (actually 100 times as fast as any broadband network available in widespread use). Google Fiber is growing as the developers are growing more ambitious and planning to boost the speed up to as high as 10Gb/sec!
Meanwhile, Google's stock seems to never stop growing in price and setting new price records. At this point, the stock is trading around $1210 per share. The chart below, courtesy of Masterforex-V Academy, reflects the current state of affairs in the market of GOOG:
