According to certain sources in the global network, the world’s largest contract producer of semiconductor integrated circuit TSMC will become the exclusive supplier of A8 processors of new generation for Apple company.
The “Market Leader” has already informed that 64-bit microchips A7 for Apple are already being produced by a South Korean company Samsung, which uses a 28-nanometer technology. It is worth mentioning that such processors are used in sheets iPad Air and iPad with Retina display and smartphones iPhone 5S.
Developers of TSMC inform that A8 microchips require a 20- nanometer technology of production, and the company, unlike Samsung, is ready to satisfy the current needs of the American producer. The Taiwanese company has already started trial production of new processors, which will, supposingly, become the basis for iPhone and iPad of next generation. From all appearances, Samsung is unlikely to produce А8 microchips.
There is No Information about Break of Relations Between Apple and Samsung
The fact that production of Apple A8 will be given to TSMC does not mean the break of partner relations between Apple and Samsung. According to information in the global network, Samsung will get a part of orders for producing А9 processors in 2015. These items will be initially produced by TSMC by a 16-nanometer technology, and then the South Korean producer, with its 14-nanometer technical process, will get 40 percent of the production volume.
According to the Analytic Team of FBS broker company, А8 microchip does not yet have an integrated LTE-modem, and Apple has instead concentrated on development of 64-bit architecture and expansion of graphic production.
Stocks of Apple company are currently traded at 543.99 US dollars.
