Several internet sources report that we may have the next version of the iPhone series equipped with new something called sapphire glass instead of Gorilla Glass. Apple is reported to apply for a patent by addressing the US Patent & Trademark Office.
The new technology is called Sapphire Glass. The corporation is going to use this technology in its future mobile devices like iPads and iPhones. The patent Apple applied for is said to describe the very process of manufacturing extremely durable glass that can withstand extreme pressure. The very process is faster and more efficient as compared to the process of manufacturing any other similar glass like Gorilla Glass, for example.
Experts say that Gorilla Glass is doomed even though its quality is fine and most users are content with it. Still, some insiders report that Foxconn is ready to ship the first lot of Sapphire Glass for testing.
