The United States Patent and Trademark Office has recently approved another patent from Apple. This time Apple decided to patent the technology of creating touchscreens that can recognize the degree of the pressure and react accordingly. Apparently, this technology allows the corporation to expand the possibility of a mobile device with such screens.
Apple claims that the new technology includes at least 3 sensors related to recognising touches. Those sensors are located underneath the screen. Another major thing to consider is the very mechanism of analysing the info coming from those sensors.
According to the information give by the sources, the sensors will be located at the corners of the screen. When the user touches the screen, the sensors start feeling different levels of pressure to calculate the coordinates where the pressure was applied and even recognizing certain gestures.
Meanwhile, Apple's financial performance is far from being excellent. Not so long a go, the company released its quarterly report to disappoint investors with poor sales figures, which almost instantly pressed the company's stock, making the price to set new local lows after a strong rally seen a couple of months ago.
