Even though the device is referred to as Sony Xperia Z2, it is working name is Sony Sirius. The pics were delivered by one of the users of the XDA forum.
The experts used to say that the new smartphone will be powered by the latest version of Android OS, which is Android 4.4 KitKat. However, if to believe the pictures, the device will be powered by the previous version – Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Sony changed the launcher a little bit by adding new icons to the settings page. New themes became available as well.
As for the hardware specifications of the new smartphone, there is little information. Rumors say that the devices will get a 5.2-inch touchscreen display (2560 by 1440 pixels) and a new CPU called Mobile Bravia Engine 3 along with a 20-megapixel camera. By he way, the device is expected to be much thinner than its predecessors.
Meanwhile, experts say that Sony smartphones are fairly popular worldwide due to high quality and affordable prices. Despite this fact, the company’s stock is currently showing signs of weakness. However, the decline is over and the price is consolidating. Sony’s future is expected to be brighter since Sony’s mobile business is developing fast and start brining the company more income.
