LG Electronics officially announced its decision to introduce a next-generation TV set during CES 2014, a major tech expo. The TV will get the Ultra HD resolution and a 105-inch screen.
Another interesting fact about the new TV is that it is expected to have a slightly bent display. The mottle number is 105UB9. This is the follower of the 77-inch Ultra HD OLED TV. Even though being slightly bent, the display is LCD, which makes the TV more affordable. At this point, the price is unknown and will be revealed only during CES 2014.
Samsung is also planning to introduce its own TV set with a bent display. In general, bend displays become more and more popular even though the technology is not so affordable at this point. LG is one of the pioneers. However, Samsung is catching up with it. Not so long ago, the South-Korean giant introduced a smartphone with a flexible screen.
