Sony, the world-famous manufacturer of computer electronics from Japan, has recently announced an ambitious plan to sell 5 million copies of PlayStation 4. The new game console will come into the Japanese market on February 22nd 2014. The 5 million copies are planned to be sold till the end of the marketing year which ends on March 31st 2014.
The plan is very ambitious since this is much higher sales volume than the one of the previous version – PS3 – 3,6 million copies.
Still, experts say that plan sounds realistic and Sony may well reach the 5 million goal within the reporting period since PS4 is a long-awaited game console with lots of fans looking forward to trying it out.
