VentureBeat blog has received access to the prototype of a “smart” watch Galaxy Gear. It will be officially demonstrated by Samsung company on September 4th in the course of an exhibition in Berlin. Journalists have managed to make a screenshot and a promo video, which reveals some characteristics of the watch.
Galaxy Gear has received a square display with canted corners; its framework is rather wide. The colour scale of the watch is black and dark grey. The strap is hard to be called delicate, for it is a ground for a 4-megapicsel camera. Bluetooth enables the “smart” watch to operate with Galaxy sheets and other Android-based devices. The size of Galaxy Gear OLED-screen will amount to 2.5 inches. The device is to be equipped with a 2-core processor.
Side planes of the device have a sliding button for switching applications and a power button. The prototype provides an approximate look of the watch, as stated by “High-tech” section of the “Market Leader”.
According to unverified data, the watch will be supplied with Android (4.3) operation system and Bluetooth LE.
