President Obama and his administration have vetoed a possible ban for iPhone 4 and 3G-capable iPad 2 models in the USA. This potential ban is said to be connected with some violation of Samsung’s patents.
In early June 2013, the International Trade Commission ordered the USA to ban the sales of the mentioned devices on the US territory. This move could seriously affect Apple’s market capitalization, thereby helping its rivals (including Samsung) to consolidate their position in the USA, simultaneously increasing their market capitalization. However, since Obama and his administration decided to interfere, this veto is good news for Apple and band news for Samsung.
