App Shine has recently decided to publish its report to compare the amount of downloads and financial performance of Google Play and Apple iTunes. It turns out that Google Play has already outpaced AppStore in terms of the total amount of downloads. The forecast are matched. Still, Apple is still the frontrunner in terms of revenues.
In particular, the amount of total downloads at Google Play is 100% higher than the one at AppStore. Still, AppStore earns 2,3 times as much money as Google Play.
As far as AppStore is concerned, games are the most popular apps. All in all, both the stores are showing excellent performance, which makes Google and Apple’s stocks appreciating. The chart below, courtesy of Masterforex-V Academy, reflects the current state of affairs in the market of AAPL:
