Google Nexus 7, a new tablet PC recently introduced by Google, is expected to hit Apple’s iPad. The new devices is a little bit more expensive that the preceding version. Still, it is much more powerful in terms of hardware specifications. The previous version cost from $199 per device, which was more than twice as cheap as Apple’s iPad for $499. Even the new iPad mini was almost a $100 costlier than Google’s tablet.
In order to justify the price of iPad, Apple had to focus the audience’s attention to the drawbacks of Nexus. Google ignored this and responded with a new version of the tablet. Now it is expected to cost some $230.
The specifications have been improved. The touchscreen resolution is increased up to 1920х1200. The gadget is 8,65mm thin (as compared to 10,45mm of the previous version). It will also get a new processor and more RAM.
Experts say this is a severe blow to Apple’s iPad Mini, thought it is not a devastating one since the new Nexus tablet won’t oust iPad, just take some of its market share.
