Photo: Angela Merkel Says Berlin Will Help
Yesterday, Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany, and Li Keqiang, Premier of the People's Republic of China, met in Germany. They discussed a number of major issues, including the export of Chinese solar panels to Germany.
In early May the Euro Commission concluded that it is necessary to impose a 47% duty on the Chinese export of solar panels since Chinese exporters get hidden subsidies from the government. Then Beijing announced about its decision to defend its trade interests.
Angela Merkel promised the Chinese Premier to help China resolve the issue.
