Google, the major tech giant, is planning to deprive its users of another service called “Reader service”. The closure is scheduled for July 2013. The company has conducted research to find out that the amount of those who use this service has declined dramatically. That is why Google decided to say goodbye to Reader service.
Within a few hours after the announcement, the users collected over 25 000 votes for preserving the service, which collects news content form the Web.
Experts say that Google is determined to focus on developing social media services such as Google+. Despite multiple requests to preserve the service, Google says there are some objective reasons behind such a decision.
At this point, Google’s stock is calm and showing no major activity.
