NVIDIA, a major tech company and the co-creator of PlayStation 3 and Xbox, abstained from participating in the creation of PlayStation 4. The fact surprised the audience. It was AMD that worked on the graphics and the processor for the new game console.
However, not so long ago NVIDIA revealed the real reasons for its decision to abstain from working on the long-awaited PlayStation 4 console. Sony had failed to offer decent payment for the involvement in the project.
Not so long ago, NVIDIA developed Tegra 4, the most powerful chip for mobile devices. Then it worked on Project Shield, a game console by Tesla. NVIDIA seems to be showing much better performance than AMD.
