Mass media report that Apple’s iPhone 5S as well as Samsung’s Galaxy S4 that will be introduced later this year will be allow their users to charge them wirelessly. At this point, it is unclear whether this potion will be built into the new devices. Most probably, the 2 companies will develop extra accessories to make wireless charging possible for iPhone 5S and Galaxy S4.
Galaxy S4 is expected to support the wireless charging technology called Qi. It is already used by Nokia.
Apple will most likely develop its own wireless charging technology. At this point, Apple hasn’t commented on whether iPhone 5S will support wireless charging. Most probably, the developer will install a special module right into the new devices.
Anyway, analysts expect both the devices to be in high demand all around the globe, especially if they will actually allow wireless charging as it is convenient and makes it possible to charge the device almost anywhere.
