This week sugar and coffee futures have proved to be the leaders of stock exchange price rise. Arabica has increased by 1.7 percent, having amounted to 1.495 dollars per pound at New York exchange.
March sugar future has increased by 0.6 percent – to 18.88 cents per pound at ICE Futures U.S. in New York.
Cotton has also followed the rising trend; it has increased by 2 percent, having amounted to 74.9 cents per pound of March future. This is the highest rise of cotton quotations since October 17.
Cocoa has had a smaller increase of 2380 dollars per ton, which is equal to yesterday’s trading session.
