Net profit of British-Dutch company Royal Dutch Shell Plc during the third quarter of 2012 has increased by 2.3 percent, having amounted to 7.139 bln. dollars versus 6.976 bln. dollars last year. As informed by the «Market Leader», this has been much better than expected.
The profit has increased by 1.8 times in comparison to the second quarter. Successful work of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) has resulted in such positive outcome, as informed in the company’s press release.
Adjusted profit of Shell has amounted to 6.56 bln. dollars versus 7 bln. dollars one year ago. Last quarter the revenue has dropped by 8.4 percent, having amounted to 115.43 bln. dollars.
Dividends per share have amounted to 0.43 US dollar, net volume of Shell investment during the period of April-June has amounted to 8 bln. dollars. The total volume of crude oil and natural gas recovery has dropped by 1 percent during the previous quarter. Sales of liquefied gas have increased by 4 percent.
