The new austerity steps taken by the Greek authorities suggest considerable spending cuts (€12bn). The spending cuts will mainly concern the country’s legal sector. Greek courts went on strike yesterday. Judges and other legal workers want guarantees against salary cuts.
Other sectors (including transportation and public sector) are planning to go on strike as well.
Forex.
The SRP Department of reports that EURUSD is retracing against the major trend in the form of wave C of m15-m30. The closest level of support is 1.3043. On completing the wave, the currency pair may well resume its rally up to 1.3198.
