IBM earned $29,5B in Q4 2011. Each sector showed different profitability. Software sales increased by 9% up to $7.6B while hardware sales declined 8%, thus making only $5.8B. IBM’s income from various services increased by 3% up to $15.4B. The income per share grew up by 11% or $4.62 per share.
The growth was different in various regions: +3% in North America, +1% in Europe, Africa and Middle East, +2% in Asia, +7% in emerging markets (including BRICS).
According to the Department of Portfolio Investments of , the mentioned data increased IBM’s income-per-share forecast for 2012 from $13,25 up to $13,35. The given tendency corresponds to IBM’s plan to make its income-per-share value reach $20 by 2015.
