United States Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner informed about his intention to join the meeting of his colleagues and the heads of central banks of the states of “financial seven”. The group includes such countries as Germany, France, Great Britain, Canada, Italy, Japan, and the USA. The meeting is going to be held on September 9-10 in Marseille.
Although the questions to be discussed are traditional, they have in no way lost their relevance and poignancy:
* methods of stimulating world economic growth,
* complicated financial situation worldwide,
* the problem of unemployment.
On the USA initiative, the situation in Libya, Syria, on the north of Africa in general, and in the Middle East is going to be discussed.
