It's time for another Dukascopy Economic Calendar. Here's a rundown of the most important news releases scheduled for Monday, the 16th of January.
US markets will be closed for the Martin Luther King day, and the first item on the schedule comes one minute past midnight when the UK Rightmove House Price Index for January is released. The Index has been decling for the past 2 months, and the December drop was the strongest in almost 2 years.
Japanese Tertiary Industry Index for November comes at half past 4. The Index returned to growth in October, partially offsetting a point 3% decline the previous month.
Japanese Preliminary Machine Tool Orders for December are out at 6. Orders saw a strong monthly growth in November as both domestic and foreign orders went up.
Euro Zone Trade Balance for November is releases at 10. Trade surplus narrowed in October as exports went down and imports increased.
And Australian Home Loans for November will be available at half past midnight GMT. Housing finance eased in October, following a strong 1.5% gain the previous month.
