As you know, American experts regularly make doomsday scenarios for other countries. Decades ago, there were special agencies that were involved in finding, explaining and confirming the reasons for the would-be USSR breakup. The USSR did break up but this had nothing do deal with those US theories. Still, this is not the end of the story. Today, american experts are still coming up with doomsday scenarios for Russia and the EU.
Well, it is time to find out whether there is a chance to see a US collapse? Let's try to find the answer together…
US Prospects
In the late 2000s, Russian experts started making doomsday predictions for the USA. In particular, Professor Pannarin introduced his map of the future USA. He said than somewhere in 2010 the USA will split in several parts by the same scenario that was predicted by American experts for Russia.
Obviously, the scenario didn't manifest itself. But this doesn't mean it cannot do it in the future. Pannarin predicted the split into Eastern states with European traditions, Southern states with Latin/Mexican traditions, Northern-Central states with the possibility of joining Canada and some other «suburbs» like Chinese California, Russian Alaska and Japanese Hawaii. Apparently, Professor pannarin was mocking at the USA and its experts. Still, if to get rid of the mocks, we can still see escalating differences between Eastern, Central and Western states. The future may well split them apart as separate independent units with or without external influence and control.
At the same time, some experts say the USA may disintegrate into less considerable units, or even along the old borderline between the North and the South. Obviously, these scenarios look ridiculous at this point since US states do not have any options but to coexist and local people are unlikely to support the idea of leaving the world's number one economy. At the same time, the federal authorities are still strong despite numerous disputes and issues. Still, if the power declines, we may see major changes in many fields.
What can finish off the USA and why is the US breakup not beneficial for the rest of the world?
Americans' patriotic feelings are strong. They get used to be united against external enemies like the USSR/now Russia, China, the Arabic world. However, will this be enough to support the integrity of the USA? Well, experts say that if Obama's administration (not supported in Central states) manages to improve the economic situation or at least to support the current level, the USA won't face integrity threats and related challenges. Still, if the people's love turns into hatred, the situation may escalate to the level where some states would really want to leave the USA and the scenarios given by Pannarin will stop being a joke.
By the way, such a scenario isn't beneficial to the entire world since this would crush the entire global economy. It is not accidental, that the BRICS that are powerful enough to cause a collapse of the US Dollar do not do anything like that since they understand the existing importance of the USA in the entire global economy and politics. If the USA ceases to exist, this will end up with severe crisis, even a global disaster dozens of times as strong and devastating as the 2008 crisis. Therefore, wether you like or hate the USA, you should be glad that it is not on the verge of disintegration.
