Market Leader reports that the participants of the G7 summit were discussing the question if disputed Asian territories. Most of the participants condemned any of one-way actions escalating the situation. Apparently, this was a wakeup call for China since most of the disputed territories now belong to China. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the results of the G7 summit related to the disputed territories.
In case you don’t know, China has occupied a range of disputed islands. Even though the Chinese government says they are ready to negotiate, in reality they haven’t made any steps in this direction so far. Apparently, they are not going to give those disputed island back. It should be noted that most of those islands are uninhabited and are of no value themselves. However, the allow the owner to control the sea routes and territories. This is another story since this is all about fishing and possible oil and gas fields.
