Results of the referendum held in the business center of London have been processed.
City men are against Great Britain’s exit from the EU. This is demonstrated by vote in London City, where 75 percent of voters have said a firm “no” to Brexit.
Votes of British capital’s business center have reversed the situation. If previously opponents of EU membership took the lead, at this point supporters of the Union have not only caught up with them, but even overpassed. Though, votes have been calculated only in 60 districts, whereas there are 382 districts; therefore, the “seesaw” may continue.
As previously informed by the “Market Leader”, initial data was shocking for opponents of exit from the EU. After processing votes in 30 districts it turned out that 53.5 percent of British are for quitting the European Union. Most active vote against the EU was registered in Sunderland (61 percent), Basildon, and Swindon.
Then, as already mentioned, opponents of Brexit (a term for calling possible exit of the United Kingdom from the EU) came forward: according to the results of processing ballots in 60 districts, 51.3 percent of the population support the EU. This privilege is unsteady, especially taking into consideration the fact that this is only 1/6 of votes, as well as a tendency shown by initial results when some regions have much more supporters of the EU, whereas in others their opponents prevail.
Investors have shown negative reaction to preliminary results of the calculation. Oil has dropped by several percent at stock exchange, in particular, one barrel of Brent has dropped by 50 dollars, and GBP/USD has dropped from 1.50 to 1.42.
Brussels does not want to lose Britain, but at the same time it does not promise any special authority to the United Kingdom as a part of EU – everyone has to be on equal terms.
