Photo: Euro Group Ponders On Ways Of Overcoming Crisis
Yesterday, on June 20th, the Euro group conducted another meeting in Luxembourg. The finance ministers gathered to think about the ways and means of overcoming the prolonged eurozone crisis. An efficient banking union was another issue on the agenda.
For example, the French minister of finance offers to bail out risky banks directly from the ESM. He hopes that the Euro Group will approve his idea to make direct recapitalization possible in the near future.
At the same time, the German minister of finance is concerned that most of the expenses will be laid on German taxpayers’ shoulders.
