June started from optimistic news for the EU and the eurozone. In particular, according to Mario Draghi, President of the ECB, Europe’s deepest crisis is nearly over since the eurozone has already overcome the biggest difficulties and is expected to show growth later this year.
At the same time, Francois Hollande, President of France, shares this standpoint. On June 7th during the summit in Tokyo, he said that the eurozone crisis was over and the European economy would see growth in the near future.
According to the French bureau of statistics, France’s industrial production increased by 2,2% (m/m), which is well above 0,3% expected by analysts.
Meanwhile, the common European currency has hit another local high - 1.3305 – and has been consolidating around it for 2 days in a row.
