Photo: Eurozone and IMF Officials Start A Series Of Discussions
Yesterday, European finance ministers met with Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the IMF, in Brussels. There were several issues on the agenda, including financial aid to Spain ’s banking sector as well as Ireland and Portugal ’s plead to extend the lending program and to delay the payoff.
As of Italy, ministers touched upon the elections saying that Italy should stabilize on its own without external support. The Euro Group is also considering financial aid to Cyprus .
