Monday was the worst trading day for stock markets since the beginning of 2013.
In particular US stock indices declined by 0,9-1,5% amid new fears over the current economic situation in the eurozone, especially the situation in Spain and Italy.
Dow Jones declined 0,93% down to 13880,08 while NASDAQ lost1,51% , thereby reaching 3131,17. Meanwhile, S&P 500 declined by 1,15% down to 1495,71.
Asian-Pacific stock markets started today’s trading session with a decline within the range of 0,53-1,38%.
The corruption scandal in Spain keeps escalating as the Spanish cabinet of ministers (including Mario Rajoy) is urged to resign. At the same time, the government denies the existence of black money.
Another major concern is the forthcoming parliamentary election in Italy.
