Forex news, Euro rate. In December French inflation remained at a three-year peak; one of the reasons for this is a rise of taxes. Consumer prices have risen by 2.7 percent, which is equal to the rise in November. This is the highest point since October 2008.
Analytics questioned by Bloomberg were expecting a 2.5 percent rise. The rise has also been favoured by higher prices of gas and electricity, as well as higher taxes. This is supposed to keep inflation higher in 2012.
