In Sep 2011 foreign investors spent $84,5B on US bonds, which is $24.4B more than it was spent in August. September’s long-term asset purchases are equal to $68,6B.
Foreign public institutions invested $38,8B in US T-bonds while $46,9B was spent by private investors. They also bought US stocks to the total amount of $19.2B.
The governmental report says in September China increased its holdings of US securities after considerable sales in August. Great Britain and Japan did the same.
In the meantime, the US Dollar index keeps implementing the bullish scenario offered in the outlook for Nov 16th 2011. According to the Department of Masterforex-V Trading System ,there was an increase inthe wave level of the retracement against the bullish wave A(C ). A break above the local high (78.69) will start wave C(C ) inside the long-term upswing A/B. The MF pivot 79.98 and the 80.43 high are still the closest levels of resistance. The uptrend will be over once the price breaks the MF pivot 76.93 and comes out of the MF sloping channel (as shown below):
