Let’s start by admitting the fact that some FX traders (including those who are just getting their feet wet in trading) cannot tell the real difference between the brokers based on the so-called ECN technology and other types of FX brokers. To be honest, this is a truly important thing to take into account if you consider to trade currencies seriously.
For starters, ECN brokers have a competitive edge over most of the remaining types of FX brokers, which boils down to having Level II quotation. Simply put, the trader has access to others’ buy and sell orders at a certain distance from the current price.
While an ECN offers this benefit and some other benefits, traders don’t have pay some extra fees for using the local ECN. At the same time, ECN brokers do not require a considerable starting capital. Indeed, ECB brokers can really provide the trader as much liquidity as needed.
While the benefits of trading with an ECN broker can be obvious to most of us, choosing an ECN broker can sometimes be a challenge for most traders. There are dozens of ECN broker offering their products and services to retail clients. Analyzing them may take a while. However, there is a shortcut to choosing an ECN broker. To be more specific, Masterforex-V Expo has come up with another FX rating. This time it focuses on ECB brokers. The rating is updated on a monthly basis to let you find out about the latest changes in the niche.
